We thoroughly consider all applications. We look for students who are interested in international topics, and who want to fill roles such as web designer and staff writer.
All applications must include a resume and brief writing sample of an academic nature; an excerpt from a class paper is encouraged. We welcome applications throughout the year. Students need not be International Studies majors to write for Canes International, and we look for students with unique educational and experiential backgrounds to contribute to the intellectual diversity Canes International seeks to foster.
Addtionally, we understand that students interested in our topics may not be able to make full-time commitments as staff writers. To better serve the interests and needs of the student community, we are pursuing a guest writer initiative. If you feel an essay you have written would contribute to one of our issues, please submit the essay via e-mail attachment with your topic and name in the subject line.
